Our Board brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the table, ensuring Stoddart Group remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence in the detached, residential building industry.
Jon Stoddart, Chairman
Jon Stoddart is Chairman of the Board at Stoddart Group. His strategic vision and leadership has been instrumental in Stoddart Group’s growth and success over the last six decades.
Jon joined his father’s steel fabrication business in the 1970’s and soon identified the opportunity for diversification into the building products market. In 1991, he established Stoddart Group to focus on delivering other products with a supply and installation model. Ever since, Jon has been a driver of innovation and change in the new-build detached housing industry with products such as metal roofing, steel framing, screw piers, cladding, linings and energy solutions.
Jon is a member of the HIA and MBA and is passionate about building the future of the Australian housing industry. In 2022, Jon was honoured with a “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Brisbane Lord Mayor, in recognition of his significant contribution to the Brisbane economy.
Nick Cook, Executive Director
Nick Cook is an Executive Director of Stoddart Group. He has worked across all business units within the Group over the last 10 years and was instrumental in the establishment of our Cladding and Linings Divisions, as well as our Lock Up Solution.
Nick specializes in sales, corporate development, acquisitions and all external stakeholder relationships including government relations, industry partnerships and strategic customer and supplier relationships.
Nick studied a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and Bachelor of Laws at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and has completed his qualifications at the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a proud member of the member of the UDIA, HIA and MBA.
Nick is a Board Member of the Xavier Foundation and Gregory Terrace Old Boys’ Association..
Kate Maguire, Executive Director
Kate Maguire is an Executive Director of Stoddart Group.
During her nine years with Stoddart Group, Kate has grasped a broad knowledge of the organisation and its operations through various Operational, Sales and Strategy roles across multiple divisions, and more recently, at an Executive Leadership level in the Finance Team.
Kate received an undergraduate degree in Business, majoring in Accountancy, from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) before starting her career in the Audit division of Deloitte as an Assurance and Advisory Analyst.
She is a qualified Chartered Accountant and current member of the Chartered Accountants ANZ. Kate is also a Board Member of the Building Industry Credit Bureau.
Ian Williams, Non-Executive Director
Ian Williams is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Stoddart Group (appointed July 2021).
Ian is currently Chair of ASX-listed Lindsay Australia and a Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of ASX-listed, New Hope Corporation. He also brings the experience of 20 years as a partner in international law firms, Herbert Smith Freehills and Ashurst.
Ian received undergraduate degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Sydney and a post-graduate diploma in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford. He is the only person to have represented both the Australian Wallabies and Japanese Brave Blossoms in Rugby Union.
John Woodward, Non-Executive Director
John Woodward is a Non-Executive Director of Stoddart Group.
